This fully-narrated two-hour
driving tour is designed to
acquaint the more than 300,000
students who attend the seventy
colleges in the Boston area with
what Boston has to offer.
Choosing a college usually means
choosing a new hometown, and
getting comfortable in a new
place can cause panic among
even the most intrepid and
adventurous college students, and
their parents. This tour is
designed to introduce students (or
prospective students) to Boston
with emphasis on the city's culture
and history and the practical
considerations of moving and
living here for college.
This tour will begin at your hotel
or transport terminal and take
you past the most interesting and
historically significant sites in
Boston including the Paul Revere
House, Old North Church, the
USS Constitution, the Bunker Hill
Battle Monument, Copley Square
and Fenway Park. Along the way
you'll see the historic homes and
churches of the Back Bay and the
South End, Boston's Chinatown,
Theatre District and Beacon Hill.
You'll hear the stories behind
Paul Revere's ride, the Boston
Massacre and the Boston Tea
Party but special emphasis will be
placed on Boston's student
lifestyle, including the urban
campuses of Emerson College,
Suffolk, Northeastern, Harvard
and Boston Universities, MIT and
others. The tour will include a
visit to some of the most popular
neighborhoods for off-campus
student housing.
